Yesterday, Marlin kicked off a whole new era of do-goodery by announcing our volunteer program. In true Marlin fashion, it was done with nary an office memo nor a bullet point. It was done with a story time. Story Sam The Storytellin’ Man sat us all down in front of a roaring video fire, offered us platefuls of cookies and tiny cartons of milk, and he began to weave his magical tale.
He also began to cough. There was a lot of coughing.
Story Sam The Storytellin’ Man evidently had a cold. But such headsnottery couldn’t stop Story Sam The Storytellin’ Man. He plowed through, telling us about our fantastic new volunteering initiative at Marlin. Very exciting stuff. By the end we were all pumped up, full of cookies and milk, and sympathetic to Story Sam The Storytellin’ Man’s nasal woes.
