Our bullpen has been filling up nicely over that last few months. First, we hired Jared as the new design intern and then the very talented Taylor Swift joined us as our new account executive intern. And just so there’s no confusion, our Taylor Swift is not this Taylor Swift. Unless she has the most conspicuous secret identity ever.
Taylor recently graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Public Relations and Mass Media. She is also, and we quote, “extremely excited to be an intern here at Marlin and very interested in learning more about advertising.” Obviously we’ve yet to tell her she actually has the job or we’re guessing she would sound more like this: “Blue Bunny ice cream! Boo-ya!”
On weekends, you can find Taylor wakeboarding at Table Rock Lake or singing at her church. Word of warning: she has explicitly stated that she will not sing “Teardrops On My Guitar“. Maybe for this year’s Marlin Talent Show? We’ll keep you posted.
As talented as they are, Taylor and Jared still have some big bullpen shoes to fill. The interns that sat there before, quite frankly, rocked our socks (note: writer’s view doesn’t necessarily reflect that of the company). Especially that writer intern. Man, he was something else. They say he once crushed a piece of coal into a diamond with his bare hands and flew around the world so fast that it turned back time. Or was that movie we saw? Oh well, no time to check, we should all just assume it was him (note: complete lack of reflecting). He also cured cancer (note: what’s the opposite of reflect?). And set a new world record for “amount of handsomeness contained in one person” (note: to absorb?).
Anyway, we’re extremely excited to have Taylor aboard, “Teardrops On My Guitar” or no.
