The Q Man (known to some as ‘Quentin Brown’) strolled into Marlin this week with a hop in his step and feather in his cap.

While the hop can be attributed to his promotion from ‘Design Intern’ to ‘Full Blown Designer,’ the feather is likely due to his tendency to celebrate good news by hunting the elusive Ivory-billed Woodpecker.

The promotion was really a no-brainer on our part. Quentin has proved himself to be a valuable asset to the company over the past year and we simply couldn’t have asked for a better intern.

Aside from killing endangered species for sport, you might find Quentin celebrating by making himself comfortable in his new office and rolling around naked in a pile of his new business cards.

We couldn’t be happier–with the promotion, not the naked rolling.

Congratulations Q! We don’t care what Picard says, you’re the best.

Any Star Trek fans out there?

Q was a recurring character in The Next Generation…

He always fought with Picar–screw it, we’re going to play some Magic.

Ashley Earwood’s consistently brilliant work with clients such as Sweet Street Desserts and Starbucks Coffee Company has earned her a new acronym—A.E., otherwise known as being promoted to Account Executive. In an unrelated event, Ashley was also crowned Duchess of Fork. Seriously. She’s got the sash and everything (see below). Congratulations, Ashley.

It’s our extreme pleasure to congratulate Lucy Howell on her promotion, which she got on her birthday. But it was no present; she definitely earned it. Way to go, Lucy! Lola is very proud:

What's a Notchweiner?

It's coined from a mishearing of the Marlin agency phrase “Non-Joiner.” We figured it was a pretty good name for a blog that features everything we do to not be like everyone else.
